SK Direct offers a premium quality Tamper Evident security, or tamperproof; tape. It is normally used as a replacement for carton sealing tape when security is an issue. Upon removal of the tape it very clearly leaves behind a warning message or ‘void message’. As standard the void message is ‘opened void’.

In the UK we carry this tamper evident tape in our stock in red and blue without any printing on the surface of the tape. The size of the rolls is 48mmx50m and there are 24 rolls in a carton. The edges of the rolls are serrated, not only for security, it also makes it possible to tear off by hand without the need of a knife or scissors.

Our tamper evident tape can be used in most standard handheld or automatic dispensers for packaging tape. The PET backing of the tamper evident tape is stronger and thicker than that of regular packing tapes so whichever dispenser is used, it will need a sharp blade.

Technically we can produce roll widths 19mm, 25mm, 48mm, 50mm, 75mm and roll lengths up to 500m. Longer length rolls are generally found preferential when used on automated packing lines.

There are many possibilities for customising the tamper evident tape. Making the product unique naturally adds to its security value, besides the obvious advantage of carrying your brand name.

Amongst the possibilities are surface prints in one or more colours, bespoke void message, perforations across for identical pieces every 150mm, sequential numbering and UV printing.

All our tamper evident labels and label materials are available in a range of colours, some of which are available ex-stock from our UK warehouse; others are available on pre-order from our Taiwan factory. We can even match any Pantone reference number.

The tamper evident label materials are available in several specifications.
We offer a unique and unrivalled no residue or ‘NoRes’ product which shows its void message only in the label itself, leaving the surface it was applied to totally clean from any adhesive residue. These seals are most commonly used for property, vehicle and aircraft compartment doors, for which adhesive residue on the surface is clearly unwanted.
Partial transfer, or ‘PartRes’ tamper evident labels leave only the actual void message wording behind on the surface, difficult to remove but in most cases not impossible. This is often considered the most economic solution.
Then there is the very versatile Total Transfer or ‘DuploSeal’ which splits upon removal, leaving behind a very difficult to remove adhesive section with the void message. The DuploSeal is available in a light release (SK84), suitable amongst others for paper envelopes and cardboard packaging, as well as a higher release version (SK85) for more solid surfaces. Higher release value might be preferential in cases where a light release label could release prematurely due to heavy handling.

All our tamper evident labels are manufactured using only the very best raw materials and made to the highest possible specification. All have a thick, strong Polyester backing with a matt printable surface. The adhesive is acrylic with high temperature and aging resistance, moisture and chemical resistance and ability to key strongly to a wide variety of surfaces. We strongly believe that reliability, durability and not least, aesthetics are key features of any tamper evident security product used to secure your precious high value items.
